Hi. This is Bob, with the mid-summer-break check-in that I promised you back in the long-ago pre-summer-break era.
As you may recall, the MRN team was planning to spend some of the break soul searching, pondering significant changes in the newsletter—changes in form, length, content, even name. Well, I’m happy to report that the newsletter’s soul is now 70-percent searched, and we’ve reached some conclusions about what you can expect when publication resumes on Sept. 14.
There are two ways you can get up to speed on our current thinking about the next phase in the newsletter’s evolution: (1) I had a conversation with Nikita Petrov (MRN’s shadowy Russian operative) about it on Patreon, and we’ve left that video unlocked, so you don’t have to be a Patron to watch or listen to it; (2) If you don’t have the time or inclination to hear our explanations of why we’re making certain changes to the newsletter (including, yes, its name), you can skip the video and read the bullet-point summary of the changes below the video.
In either event, please feel free to weigh in on the matter. You can share your thoughts (or questions) either as a comment on Patreon (you’ll need to register on Patreon, but there’s no charge) or as an email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things come mid-September. Hope you’ll stay tuned.
